I am not sure what you wish to accomplish, and some of it will depend on the
hardware you have and the location has. It's possible to set some but not
all routers into a client mode, where the router would extend the wired
network. This would give your 8 computers an address that would be common to
the other computers in the network, they would all see each other.
It may also be possible to add a wi-fi card to one of your 8 computers and
set it up as a Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) computer, an ICS network
will be at 192.168.0.xxx addresses and should not be connected to a system
that is using 192.168.0.xxx so where you are connecting will determine if
this is an option. With this option your 8 computers would be in there own
Network, and would be seen as one address (the router's address) by the rest
of the network. You could also buy a proxy server program and run it on one
of your 8 computers and be able to connect to any network.
