Symptoms:
On ONE server, (let's call it SRV1) I can't see anything over the network.
using it's UNC path in Windows expl, I see the server name but NONE of it's
shares. If I rt-click and look at properties, I get an error dialog stating
"The server SRV1 does not accept remote requests". Other users with my same
perms (local admin) have none of these issues. One important side affect of
this is that it's the server hosting a simple DFS root (No repl, just a handy
shortcut engine) I use extensively every day, so now I'm in the dark, NO DFS.
Kicker is, I can RDP into SRV1 and from there see all the shares using
UNCs, use the (now local) DFS root, etc. I don't even know what to start
looking for?
Attempted Diag:
Netdiag shows nothing unusual.
No windows event log entries regarding denied access, etc.
