We have a drive 'G' mapped to a specific folder (VOL2\GRP) on a server1 via
a login script. A few minutes ago when certain random users clicked on this
drive from their PCs (or tried to save an open file) the following error
popped up:
-------
G:\ is not accessible.
Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller,
either because the machine is unavailable or access has been denied.
-------
Either logging off and back in, or running the login script manually fixed
the issue and the users were able to get access again. All DCs are W2K3. I
checked all of the error logs that I could find and didn't find anything
that would tip me off to the problem. Our W2K3 file servers have been in
production for 2 days now and hopefully this isn't the beginning of a
pattern. I am guessing that for some reason the network connection to
whichever DC they were authenticated was disrupted, but again thats just a
guess.
If more info is needed, please let me know.
TIA.
