If anyone's interested in building an AP from old hardware, it's
pretty easy.

Notes:

There's no security so be careful.

If you want to set up a splash page or an authentication server, see
http://nocat.net

I used an old prism2.5 driver but a newer one is available from
http://www.linux-wlan.org

There's no orinoco (hermes chipset) driver (that I know of) that
allows "master" mode so you'll have to use a card with the prism2
chipset.
