I have a Pipex dial up a/c and Plus ADSL - is it possible to access Pipex
NGs whilst using the Plus ADSL connection ? (the former have some NGs which
Plus don't)

Thanks

'Fraid not. Like most ISPs you must be dialled into them (be it adsl or
56k) to use their news servers.
Suggest you ask Plusnet's newsmaster to add the ones that you want.

Thanks, but I tried this twice already - and they said that they could not
add any extra NGs, and that I would have to subscribe to a 3rd party
service.

This was for the adobe.acrobat.windows NG by the way... hardly a minority
interest

I believe you can access Adobe's newsgroups via http://adobeforums.com/ and
I believe they also have or plan to have their own news server - you will
have to look at that site.

Otherwise register at http://individual.net/ and use their free news
service.

Regards
Sunil

Are they carried on the free German server? If so you could just
register for that.

Thanks, I'll look into the freebie ng site

Hopefully Adobe get their own ng server - their forum software was meant to
be updated, but fell through I believe.
