Hello

I have an older computer running win98 connected to our network which is
win2000 and xp based

I want the win98 machine to share a printer which is connected to a pc
running winxp - a few other pcs share that printer.

Win98 can see the printer connected to the pc but it asks for a password
when trying to connect to the printer - none of the winxp computers required
this and I dont know what password there might be since I never set one.

also the printer name shows up simply as \\desktop\printer when its name is
usually \\desktop\lexmark on the network

How can I make the printer work from the win98 pc?

Thanks in advance
CH!
