You definately have a wierd problem. Did you check the even logs to ensure
it did not report anything unusual?
Do you have any type of monitoring to see if someone is being a smart ass on
your network? "Maybe" someone is logging into someone's account and changing
permissions, etc to cause havok on purpose. If you monitor such things, I'd
check it. Also make sure no one has more rights then they should.
Run a full virus scan, check your HDs for faults. This is truly a wierd
issue, I've never experienced permissions just "disappearing".
Hopefully someone else can provide more info,
