Hi All,

I'm trying to access a corporate network from a Gentoo linux box. In the
past I've tried to use Freeswan configured for a road-warrior, but this
fails as the corp VPN is using single-des and Freeswan only does 3des.

Unfotunately there's no way of updating the corp VPN to use 3des.

Any ideas on another way of accessing the corp LAN ?

Cheers,

It depends whether you can ssh to anywhere on the network. Our worldwide
company WAN uses SonicWall VPN (including connecting our Illinois office
to California factory). I have not checked if Linux can connect to that,
but can ssh to our factory Linux smtp server. With ssh I can tunnel tcp
ports if necessary to access our factory HP3000 via private IP or even
back through the SonicWall VPN to access web or telnet config on
JetDirects back at our local office. Although, I have not quite figured
out how to print remotely via ssh tunnel.
