I have the wirelessrouter connected to the XP and
installed the wireless PCI card(same brand). They both
conenct to the DSL, though the SE does show a disconnect
during some reboots. The XP shows the 98 computer in its
network, but cannot access it, even though it has the ok.
The 98 does not acknowledge the XP at all, it can look at
its own shared files. I adjuisted the Net Bios is
enabnled and the firewalls are off as well as only one
print share protocol. How can we get it to recognize the
other computer and have them share files and doc.

Can you tell me the network settings you use on both of
the computers. I was told by the manufacture that some
setting had to be adjusted and was referred to a website
that did not provide the information needed to have the
computers comunicate. Thank You

Did you get any good answer to the problem? I got exactly
the same one at home and it does not work, have tried all
possible ways and can not share the printer yet
Hope we help each other

I finally fixed the problem, if you are interested just go
to the web site: www.careyholzman.com and get the answers
to ALL networking problems link on the left column, I just
follow them up and it worked out perfectly. On your
computer with XP you may need to manually install the
protocol as otherwise is not present
Good time fixing it, the reward is great!

Is it the IPX/SPX protocoal that has to be installed
manually on XP? I did not see how it was to be
installed, from WindowsXP? was that the only change...or
am I too fatiqued and missed something..
