My XP machines (3 of them) can see each other and the 98 machine, however,
the 98 machine (not SE) is unable to brose the network (gets error msg). All
machines can access the internet. I'm using a Netgear wireless router. The
98 machine is only able to ping itself and the router. Thoughts? Thanks, ER

Please give some details about the problem:

How are you trying to browse the network on the 98 machine? What does
the error message say?

What exactly happens when 98 tries to ping the XP machines? Are you
pinging by computer name or by IP address? What does the error
message say?

What is each computer's IP address?

Thanks I don't need the info as I found that LAN was disabled for some
reason. Enabled it and network now OK
Thought it might be the Firewall setting
Still like to know for interest
