98 to XP Mapped Drive Labeling

I have several Win98 machines networked to an XP Home
Edition box (NTFS). The 98 boxes have drives mapped to
shares on the XP box. For security reasons, I would like
to change the label (name) of the mapped drives,
but "Label" in grayed-out in the mapped drive properties
on the 98 boxes. How do I label these mapped drives?
