DUN 1.4 only applies to Windows 95 and 98. You can't install it, and
don't need to install it, on Windows Me.

I'd delete and then re-create the ADSL modem connection. That might
require getting software from your ADSL service provider.

Windows 98 to ME is not an upgrade. ME is buggy and unreliable. I would go
back to W98 if I was you.

Win Me is more reliable than earlier Win 9x systems thanks to having both
system file protection and system restore and no more buggy than Win 98SE
and probably far less so, unfortunately the same cannot always be said of
some who have used it.

Umm - errrr - Steve, I'd beg to differ on your evaluation of ME!!!

ME is
1) more stable
2) more compatible with hardware
3) more likely to be able to recover from serious problems
4) less likely to hit serious problems
5) more stable in a networking environment (workgroups - I have NO
experience in Domains!!)
6) more fun!

than Win98 - either FE or SE!!!

Sorry mate you are talking through your arse. I've been a sys admin since
w3.1 and have had more service calls with buggy millenium than W98SE. Just
do a google search about the problems networking it. It was rushed out,
never properly supported and not many vendors produced drivers for it
(knowing that it was a short term fix before W2000/XP was on its way).

Got to a stage where if I call out and the client had Millenium, I told them
I was busy and to try someone else - it is PANTS!!!!

It's you that is speaking tripe and twaddle. You clearly have little or
no experience of Win Me regardless of the fancy title you give yourself.
You might be a sys admin and run a load of 'nix servers but that doesn't
mean you know anything about Win Me and from your post you clearly don't.
So to put it bluntly, if anyone is talking, as you put it, through their
arse it is yourself.

I disagree with your statement, I started with 98 then went on to WinME
and found it very good to run and use, in fact that machine is still
running and part of my network here along side two XP machines, it didn't
have any problems networking and still doesn't even though the machine is
getting rather old now but it's still going strong.
