I changed one of my computers from 98 to me. Now it does
not see the other two unless I add in the individual
folders. Everything else works OK. The other computers
(also 98) see the me computer fine. What did I do wrong?

A bit more info.

I installed "http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=272991" as
recommended by careyholzman.com and the problem persists.

If I click my network places and then click add network
place, the add network place wizard comes up. It sees the
other computers, but will not let me go there until I add
EACH shared folder on ALL computers. Then I have dozens of
icons where (with win-98) I had only two icons for the
other two computers.

I have tcp/ip, and ipx/spx and netbeui working properly. I
can see the net. The other two (win-98) computers can see
this (win-me) computer with no problem. Maybe I should
dump win-me. At least win-98 worked. I dread the day I
have to "upgrade" to win-xp.

M.
