98 client cant access resources on Mix mode environment

HI

I have a mix mode environment winnt4.0 server as a backup
server to service 98 and NT 4.0. A win 2000 server
domain controller and 2003 exchange server/Domain
controller. Microsoft recommend applying a patch called
DSclient found in window 2000 cd. which was applied and
that is suppose to fix the problem with 98 logining into
the network> suppposely.

The problem I am experiencing is that the 98 machines can
login into the network but cant access the servers
resources ie printer, shared folders , etc

Can someone help me out ?

I know my option is to upgrade OS. But how do i work out
this issue without upgrading OS?
