Hi Don,
You might be affected by a problem that a number of 8meg
customers are suffering from (myself included), Have you phoned technical
support to rule out the possibilty of a line problem?.
Over at ADSLguide there has been discussions going on for over a month, You
can follow the threads here :

f2s has ceased all new provisions of 8meg lines (until further notice) due
to the problems.
If you are sufferering bad f2s will move you to the 2Mb service for free,
give you a free month and a free regrade to BTMAX or back on to LLU when the
problems are resolved.
Broadband admin are the best deptartment for this but you may need to say
you are considering ceasing you line before the offer is made.
