Does anybody know when 802.16a products will be on the market? Does
anybody have any experience using last mile broadband currently for
residential subscribers?

Any info will be helpful.
Thanks,
Andre

802.16a is here. (almost)

Both Redline and Wi-Lan have products on the market today that they claim
will be 802.16a compliant.

the redline gear only runs at 3.5ghz currently...a no-no in the US. it is
also currently only point-to-point...ie: not for residential subscribers.
5.8ghz gear is reportly due Q1 '04, but still only p2p. i spent ~1hr on the
phone with their channel mgr. a few days ago asking many of the same ?'s.

couldn't tell you about wi-lan.
