I am planning out a Wireless G setup for a non-profit, and to obtain the
best configuration, I am contemplating mixing APs, Bridges and Clients from
different vendors (Dlink, Netgear, Linksys...)

Since its still a draft standard, I am uncertain over the interoperability
of 802.11g between vendors. Does anyone know or has anyone tested this?

I believe that the 802.11.g standard was ratified on 6/12/03.

Check here:

Most manufacturers will likely have firmware upgrades available.

Yes there now just one standard, but I think the interoperation
testing has not been completed, so tread carefull.
