Hello all,

I'm looking at getting a laptop for home use. I'll have it connected to a
wireless router so I can use it throughout the house, backyard, and maybe
even the neighbors house...lol.

My question is:
I was under the assumption the 802.11g was the way to go, but I see the
802.11b used it the "Intel Mobile Centrino Technology"...not the 802.11g.
Why would this new mobile technology use the "b" card vs. the "g" card if
the "g" card is the better/faster card?

I'm just trying to figure out which one I need to make sure I get along with
my laptop.

Thanks in advance...

"g" is faster and will interoperate with "b" systems.
