Hi,

I've just bought a laptop with a Binatone PCMCIA 802.11b card. I'm trying to connect it in Ad-hoc mode
to my desktop PC which is running a D-Link PCI 802.11b card. After a few hours of fiddling I've had
no success so I wonder if anyone has any advice. The desktop PC and Dlink Air Utility seems to be
fine and I'm getting a signal strength of 100% (when the laptop is off - I assume this is normal??). The
laptop however never gets any signal, the signal strength value always states "no signal". I have tried
changing just about every configuration setting going but the laptop always has no signal.

Is there something obvious I might have missed? Could my laptop be incompatible with the card?

Cheers for any advice,

Jamie
