Ok everyone before we start talking recovery and such...
I have done a full system recovery...
I have uninstalled/ reinstalled the wifi driver
I have searched for ways to start it... but here is what is weird

First off randomly (once the computer comes out of sleep or log off) the
Wifi adapter starts to work... but restarting the system will once again make
the adapter disappear from the device manager. I checked the system's kernel
drivers and it says that it was installed correctly but hasn't started. is
there some method of fixing this problem with CMD prompt?

first, you should probably repost in a hardware related MS
newsgroup. second, you say you have uninstalled/reinstalled the
driver, but have you tried upgrading it or rolling it back depending
on what you have tried> has it ever worked properly?

this group supports the (now defunct) Microsoft branded networking
equipment. what brand device do you have?
