I have Sygate Personal Firewall Pro setup on my PC and am getting a load of
port scans of late...particularly off the person above....I've e-mailed them
(after finding their [whatever it's called] from tracert) to suggest they
may have a virus etc and they have failed to respond, apart from with
furthur port scans....

Is there anything I can do about this.....I'm using windows XP Pro...

email (E-Mail Removed) with details and they will (eventually) contact the
user in question regarding the matter. He/she may have an unattended
virus infected PC that is port scanning.

Two possibilities:

1) Ignore it as your firewall seems to be doing its job and you have
no worries

2) E-mail
abuse
(at)
plus dot net

with the firewall logs, details of what timezone you are set to and
how accurate your computer's clock is so that they can check, and
contact the customer direct if need be

The ip is very close to your own (80.229.4.102)
I understand that the only way some ISP's can tell who is online is to ping
the ip's they issue.
Don't get paranoid, just keep thr firewall up.

Hi there,

Please do email your firewall logs to (E-Mail Removed), we can then
