I have an Orinoco wireless PCMCIA card that only supports 64-bit WEP.
Can I still use this card to connect to a 128-bit WEP enabled AP?
IOW, is 128-bit WEP backwards compatible with 64-bit WEP?

Nope, if your AP requires "128bit WEP" (i.e. 104bit key + 24 bit IV), then
a client configured for "64bit WEP" (i.e. 40bit key + 24 bit IV) won't do.
