I have just emptied my web site mailbox out completely, inbox, sent
box, spam and junk - yet it shows it as 6% used out of the 10Mb. Is
this normal, or have I missed something?

Yes, it was completely empty....

It took it a while, but it did eventually show 0% full.

Don't think it shows up until you log out and back in again or exit Mail and
go back again - bit disconcerting when you have just deleted 20,000 spam
messages and are at 99% full. That's on basic PAYG dial up though.

Outlook 2000 is similar in not showing correct mailbox size even after
emptying Deleted Items until you have exited and gone back in again

I had logged in as it was full, then deleted the inbox contents which
got it down to 6%, where it stuck despite my clearing out everything
else. I tried several refreshes, but could not shift it for around 30
minutes - just after I posted to the ng infact.
