After successfull compilation of "ACX100" opensource driver, I've tried to
load module. Simply by typing:

#insmod src/acx100_pci.o firmware_dir=FULL_FIRMWARE_PATH.

.... One second of "system consternation", and... access aproved. New
interface "wlan0" is reachable by Wireless Extension commands, i.e. iwconfig
wlan0 returns:

wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"osanet" Nickname:"acx100 v0.2.0pre6"
Mode:Ad-Hoc Channel:13 Cell: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm
Retry min limit:5
Encryption keyff
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

everything seems to be ok. But after "ifconfig wlan0 up" system crashes.
What's wrong? Why it crashes, after acceptation of new module?

Help!

P.

Could be wrong firmware, incompatible notebook, bug in driver.
Have you read ALL the documentation?
