Silicon.com have a story at
http://silicon.com/news/500018-500001/1/6241.html reporting a
Netherlands "double-blind" study on effects of 3G base station
radiation on people nearby - which suggests that 3G seems to be
causing health effects not seen with the lower frequencies used by 2G.
If the study conclusions DO turn out to be well-founded, what are the
implications for wifi and wide-area data frequencies about to be
deployed (in the UK, licences have been awarded for 3.4 Ghz, for
example)?
Does anyone know what sort of power 3G would be emitting at what
distance from the antenna? Does wifi within a home, office or school
(or a wifi grid within a small community) expose users and non-users
to comparable doses of at-least-as-nasty frequencies?
