Haven't read the 3gpp specs lately nor used a 3g phone in a live
network, but shouldn't the WCDMA GPRS be just GPRS like GSM GPRS (and EDGE
GPRS or is it called EGPRS these days)?
If the phone were registered in a 3G cell, it would use the WCDMA GPRS
when a GPRS session is opened from the Linux side. A quick look at the
Z1010 manual shows just the same AT commands, that have been used with
GSM GPRS, so it might just work. Of course the operator specific APN
settings and PPP options should be valid, but I think it should just
work with the same GPRS settings as GSM GPRS, if the operator hasn't
configured APN's for GSM and WCDMA separately.
But if you get it working, I at least would be interested on the
results.
