Hi all,
I know, this post is slightly OT but I guess I will be more lucky
here in this NG then anywhere else.
I have a Superstack II 3000 Switch which displays a yellow MGMT led
after posting. The switch has been working fine until this error.
Now the switch doesn't work at all. Connecting the PC to the switch
via serial cable I get the following output: "POST error = 90
MMAC_al_tog port 10 addr1:0x28440010 addr2:0x3a98 wr:0xffff rd:0 x400
exp:0x0".

Does anybody know the reason of this failure? Where should I look for
a
list of 3Com Switchs POST Errors messages?

Roberto

I would try the 3Com website and then Google. If I still came up short,
I'd try calling them.

Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but you should really be
checking with the manufacturer.

I already tried the 3Com website and Google without success. There's no
mention about 3Com Switch Post messages anywhere. I can't believe that
but this is my experience.

That's a _very_ second hand piece of hardware. I don't think the
manufacturer will help me for less then I would spend for buying a new
one. I know, 3Com support is good but not cheap at all.

Still searching for a reference on those damn Post error messages,
there have to be some around :-)

Give them a call. The worst they can tell you is that they won't help!

Good luck,
