Hi,
I have a wireless LAN which works perfectly through a 3Com dsl router and to
complete the setup I have recently acquired a 3Com print server (I thought
it was a good idea to use the same manufacturer). I have set up the print
server as described in the installation procedure and am able to now access
the print server on the LAN, ie using a web browser, I can see and change
its settings. The problem is that there appears to be no connection between
the print server and the printer, a HP colour laserjet 3500. The print jobs
are spooled on the client PC waiting for the printer to become available but
it never does. If I try to access the printer using its tools softawre, I
get a "printer not found" message in the web browser. It could be a hardware
problem of course but I get the impression that I've missed something.
3Com's support is non existent (which is a pity because their products are
ok). Has anyone been here before ? Any suggestions ?
