| Right, this is driving me mad. The BBC are currently running a multicast
| service for users in the UK on some ISPs:
|
| Streams here:
http://support.bbc.co.uk/multicast/streams.html
| Info here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/broadband/info/multicast.shtml
|
| I am on Pipex and have a 3Com ADSL Wireless 11g Firewall Router
| (3CRWE754G72-A) and I can't get it to work! From what I can understand I am
| supposed to have some sort of IGMP proxy and open some UDP ports, but I'm
| afraid I don't know enough about it.
|
| I tried putting my PC in the DMZ, but it still didn't work I get the
| message:
|
| "This server is configured to support only multicast connections. Please
| contact the content provider for more information on listening to this
| broadcast."
|
| Any advice would be helpful. Pipex aren't much use.
|
| Regards,
|
| Fred

Have you enabled IP Multi-cast to cross the WAN/LAN barrier ?
My Linksys Router has...
Multicast Pass Through: | | Enable |X| Disable
