3com office connect problem

who can me help? i have 3com office connect , access point :3CRWE41196
(11mb with 2 antenna) + PCMCIA card office connect 3CRSHPW196 with
XJACK antenna both work fine but i have 2 problems:
1- distance is max 15-20meter (i can't reach the 2ed floor)
2- i can't access my home network (the laptop see no network) but i
can surf the net ????
any help please
