Hello - I have just got a 3Com AirConnect Wireless Access Point. The problem
is that I cannot get it to recognise the password that I'm entering to allow
me to update the config.

I've tried every variation of comcomcom. that I can think of - but no joy.
So the question is -
Is there a way to reset the default (just in case it has been inadvertently
changed)?
Are there any Hyperterminal settings that may affect the way that the
password gets sent to the box?

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks,
Neil.

There should be a way to reset the router to factory defaults, and it should
be in your manual.

Does anyone know the answer to this question. Like the original poster,
none of the default passwords for my 3Com AirConnect work. I do not find
anywhere in the manual that tells you how to do a hardware reset to put the
device back to default configuration. All of the reset instructions are
software based, and all of those software functions are locked out by the
password that isn't working.
