Has anyone heard of a LR8 cable used to connect an antenna to a Cisco 1200
Access Point that is 300 feet away. I know Cisco sells 2 ultra low loss
cables in the 100 and 150 feet size. However, I need to attach an antenna
from almost 300 feet away. It's a 5.2dBi Omni Directional antenna. Thanx in
Advance.

You'd do better and cheaper to remote the AP instead of the antenna,
especially with such a low gain antenna...

With such a long run your signal will be lost in the coax, receiving and
transmitting...

Are we talking about CAT5 cable? If so, 300 feet is really
pushing the limit.

I make that 25 feet *within* the allowed length for a Cat5 run actually.

David.
