I have 2 Samba servers and 2 Windows XP PCs in my LAN. One of the Samba
servers is configured as the workgroup's domain master. From this server
all of the PCs are listed when I execute [ smbclient -L $HOST -U% ] where
HOST=(the PCs name). On the other Samba server, which is only configured as
a local master, I don't get the full list. All I see is the name of the 2
Linux machines. The Windows PCs are missing. All the PCs are listed in
network neighborhood from Windows.

Running Samba 3.0.23c-4.

Here's another way to ask my question.

From 1st machine linux:
[linux]# smbclient -L $HOST -U%
Domain=[LANSYS] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.23c]

Sharename Type Comment
--------- ---- -------
temp Disk Temp Directory
IPC$ IPC IPC Service (LINUX)
Domain=[LANSYS] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.23c]

Server Comment
--------- -------
LAN4 LAN4
LINUX LINUX
LNX04 LNX04

Workgroup Master
--------- -------
LANSYS LINUX
[linux]#

------------------------------------------------------

From 2nd machine lnx04:
[lnx04]# smbclient -L $HOST -U%
Domain=[LANSYS] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.23c]

Sharename Type Comment
--------- ---- -------
temp Disk Temp Directory
IPC$ IPC IPC Service (LNX04)
Domain=[LANSYS] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.23c]

Server Comment
--------- -------
LINUX LINUX
LNX04 LNX04

Workgroup Master
--------- -------
LANSYS LINUX
[lnx04]#

------------------------------------------------------

Question: I don't I get the full Server list on the second machine lnx04?
