2nd Computer Freezes

I have to PC Netwroked using a Netgear MR 8142V2 ROUTER. Host PC is a
1.7GHZ Celeron with ample memory and using WIN XP PRO. Other PC is in
another room and it is a Compaq Presario 7360 500MHZ AMD K-6 256mb
memory, using a Netgear 802.11b Wireless USB Adapter. The Presario
constantly freezes. To get it to make a connection to the router often
requires unplugging it from the USB port then reinserting it then
rebooting the computer. After 2 or three reboots it will connect then
will freeze after 12 minutes or so.
