My win2000 DCs cannot access the new server2003 DCs at a file level... They
are replicating fine, but if from my win2k DC I type in \\computername of
the new 2003 controllers it's puts up a user name and password prompt... All
the XP clients and 2000 clients on the network can use the name for the new
server to connect no problem. My win2000 DCs can access other win2003
servers that are not DCs just not the domain controllers. Anyone know what
this may be?

I don't know why that is offhand but when you enter that name and password
for the account you are logged on with do you get access?? --- Steve

Does it work if you use the IP address instead of the computer name as in
\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ??If you run the netdiag and dcdiag support tool on one of
the W2K domain controllers and your new W2003 domain controller are any
pertinent errors found?? These tools are in the support/tools folder on the
install disk where you run the setup program to install them. They must be
installed from the proper install disk for the operating system. --- Steve
