2003 SP1 breaking Network Connection

Has any one had the misfortune after installing SP1 on a server 2003
active/passive cluster that "network connections" stays in starting status?

That doesn't help. The problem is the Network Connection Service comes up on
the server and is stuck in the Start Pending State. We made the changes the
KB article suggests, but it made no difference. When you uninstall SP1 from
the server it boots up just fine. Any other ideas?
