That is because Everyone is not really Everyone, it is only
"Everyone-in-the-Domain" or in some cases "Everyone-on-the-Server". But in
either case it does not cover "Everyone-on-another-Machine".
XP Home cannot join a Domain therefore the Everyone on it....is simply
Everyone on *it*. What you have to do is create identical user accounts
with identical passwords on both the XP Home and on the Server. Then login
with the Account on the XP Home machine. On the Server give the duplicate
account permission to the resource. Now, as long as the XP Home's Workgroup
Name matchs the WorkGroup or Domain Name on the Server it should work.
