Hello.

I have five servers in a LAN each containing one DUAL Gigabit NICs.

LAN1 is for internet traffic and
LAN2 is for moving data amongst the servers.

My problem is some servers in the LAN see host.local as LAN1 (IP Scheme) and
others see host.local as LAN2 (IP Scheme).

I am trying to figure out how to ALWAYS have server(x).local resolve to
10.10.10.x and never 192.168.1.x

For example:
server1.local pings server3.local and is resolved to 10.10.10.3
server2.local pings server3.local and is resolved to 192.168.1.3
* The above changes and is never consistant

I hope the above makes sense.

Thank you in advance!

This page discusses about RRAS, but it is same concept.

One solution is to have two DNS/WINS names for each server, say "server1-1" and
"server1-2" corresponding to each NIC.
