I have a new AD install with 3 DCs and a member server. I am trying to bring
DHCP online on one or more of the servers, but I cannot get the service to
lease an IP for any client at all.
I have tried installing DHCP server on all 4 machines, they all act the same
way. I have *authorized* all servers, and set up and activated a scope on
each server. Still nothing. I even removed the one member server from the
domain entirely, repeated the DHCP installation, and it still refuses to hand
out IPs, even when connected only to a simple 3com switch along with the test
client.
Each server has dual Broadcom NetXtreme GB network adapters as well as a
dual Intel 1000/MT. The broadcoms are configured in a team and connected to
my LAN, the Intels are teamed and connected to a private LAN between my
servers.
I have tried disabling all interfaces except a single broadcom during my
testing - still nothing.
I have installed Ethereal on the machines and it can see the DHCP request
traffic. I have checked the binding in the DHCP server and verified that it
is bound the the appropriate interface. I have made sure the firewalls are
disabled.
The DHCP service on my PIX hands out IPs throughout the network just fine.
This should be about the simplest thing in the world, but it just refuses to
lease IPs. Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions?
