2 wireless routers right next to each other

Hello,

I'm trying to help some friends out. They run 2 businesses (lending &
real estate) out of the same office. They're both on separate
networks (separate T1, separate routers, separate switches, etc. all
side by side).

To give them wireless capability, would there be any signal or
interference problem with installing 2 wireless routers (SMC2804WBRs)
right next to each other? I know I can set them up on separate
channels so I don't think there should be any interference problems
but I remember hearing something that competing signals can degrade
each other?

Would really appreciate any input you might have on this.

Thanks much,

Chris.

FWIW I have 2 routers about 3 feet apart on different channels, don't
seem to have any problems.

Ideally you'll want to have one on channel 1 and one on channel 11,
but mine are on 1 and 4 (neighbors!)

Use different channels on each. Use 1,6 or 11 to prevent overlap.

Best to keep them apart, more than 3 feet or so.
