2-Wire HomePortal 1000HW

Good Morning.

I recently installed the above device in conjunction with SBC Yahoo DSL.
Everything works as advertised with one little glitch.

The primary machine (Dell Dimension 8100), running Win XP Home SP1 (all
updates), to which the 1000HW is attached via Ethernet, has 4 user accounts,
1 administrator, and 3 limited.

When one of the limited accounts tries to logon I get the following error
from the Home Portal Monitor software:

HP Monitor
Failed to initialize network access
Please log off and log back on as an administrator

When I change the limited accounts to administrator everything is fine. I
would, however, be much happier if I could roll these accounts back to
limited and still allow them access to the network/DSL connection.

2 Wire says this is a Win XP issue even though the error is coming from
their software, and they have no idea how to correct it. I looked in the
knowledge base and could find nothing.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
