2 questions about the Linksys WRT54G router operation

I am trying this Linksys WRT54G router here, and so far it is doing okay (no
disconnects from my Verizon DSL account). I do have 2 questions:

1) Is ther somewhere in the Router Setup Screen that one can see for how
long the Net connection has been active? Meaning, the total time since it
signed on via PPPoE.

2) I see that if you set the Client Least Time to "0", you get ONE FULL day.
Any other number amount will equal to the same number of minutes before the
user is automatically assigned a new dynamic IP address. So my questions
are;

(a) when one is assigned a new dynamic IP address, that is done by logging
you off the PPPoE connection, and re-logging you back in automatically?

(b) if the above is correct, doeesn't that mean that I would loose my
internet connection during this process?

(c) if I want to have the longest possible connection and avoid the issues
above, isn't it better to put in "9999" minutes (you can only specify a
maximum number by using 4 digits), as that would equal to nearly 167 hours,
which mean nearly 7 days. Am I correct?

Thanks for the help!

1) Not as far as I know.
2) The client lease time applies to the computers that obtain their IP
address from the router's DHCP server. It has nothing to do with PPPoE. If
you type "ipconfig /all" into a command prompt (W2k and XP), you can see how
much time your computer still has on the lease. Once the lease expires, the
computer requests a renewal of the IP address. The new IP address will
likely be the same as the old IP address. Short lease times are typically
used when a limited number of IP addresses need to be available for many
different computers over the course of a day (e.g. public access point)
while long lease times are used when there is no need to assign computers
new IP addresses over the course of a day. When a lease expires, there
should be no disconnection from the internet unless the lease is not
renewed. To manually renew a lease, just type "ipconfig /renew"
