Hi All,
I have 2 questions don't know how to solve.
1) 2 subnets, each have 2 DHCP Servers, All of them are also DC which
running W2k Server. How to control same subnects client NOT receive other
subnet's DHCP lease even their subnet's DHCP down?

2) Install the first BPC in another subnet, it is fail because it cannot
look up the PDC in Window NT. I used to face this problem in W2k AD
environment. I contact the consultant, they said need to set something on
the router. I really want to know, how to do it?

Thanks!!!

1. Your router should block DHCP broadcasts from client on one subnet from
reaching the DHCP server on the other subnet. As long as the router does not
forward these DHCP broadcasts your clients should not recieve an IP address
on the wrong subnet.

2. The first thing you need to confirm is that the second DC (in Windows
2000 there is no such thing as a BDC) is pointing to the first DC for DNS
resolution.

Thank you for your reply!
1) I searched Cisco, but I can't find the command which block the DHCP
boardcast. Anyone know the links for that documents?

2) If it is a new site, and the Windows NT is the first computer. When
install it, I have to defind what role is that. How can I set it point to
the DC in another subnet?
