HI all:
I have a WS 2003 machine beings used a web server and it has 2 NICs. NIC 1
is connected directly to the cable modem and pulls a dynamic IP from the
ISP, and uses TZO to map a domain name to the dynamic IP. NIC 2 has a dummy
static IP and is connected to my LAN to allow easy access to the server
resources (shared files and such). However for some reason I cannot get to
the internet from the machine, I cannot communicate with the TZO servers,
cannot ping anything....no connectivity at all. I have a Win XP machine set
up exactly the same way and it works like a champ.
Also, if you're wondering why I don't just use a router and map the TZO name
using port forwarding, it's because the router is pointing at web server #2
with a different TZO name.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to enable the machine to see the
internet and successfully communicate with the TZO servers? I guess in the
worst case I could disconnect the LAN card and just set the server up with
web folders or FTP to transfer files, but there has to be a better way...
Thanks.
John.
