are 2 gateways allowed?

I have 2 network cards, one for internet, the other for local network. But I
get the message "two different gateways cannot work". I have win2k3 server.
How should they be configured, if possible? Please help.

It is a "default" gateway, not a gateway. You can only have one default. For
example, if you have one card with a 192.168.1.20 address and another with a
192.168.100.20 address and a default gateway of 192.168.100.1; then anything
for 192.168.1.0 will go to the card on that subnet; but anything else will
go to the default gateway in order to go on to wherever it is going, which
could be anywhere. You can see that it would not make much sense for both
cards to have a default gateway address.

In addition to Anthony's reply - I suggest you get a router and ditch the
two NIC config.
