Nope, the only way you could get close to that is by using a router &
sharing the connection between 2 computers (the router is optional but
makes it a lot easier).

Can't be done. You need 2 lines for 2 connections.

Not possible as only one ISP can be connected per line at the telephone
exchange.

That's interesting - I had assumed that the number in the PC "dialler" indicated
the ISP.

There is no number in the PC "dialler", the line is always connected.

That number is there for Windows to work, you could put anything in
there (I've even put 999 in there to prove my point to one end user).
Occaisionally you do need to put 0,38 in there but that is down to semi
broken drivers..

That's strange - I am on cable and my PC needs no "dialler" to connect. Why is
it different with ADSL ?

Nothing strange about it at all, different login procedures for
different kit & services it's as simple as that.

If you had done any research at all you would have noticed that the
DSL's free modem of choice is a USB which when installed on a computer
places a 'virtual' DUN & for a DUN to work it requires a number. With
cable the USB connection is set up as a virtual lan, requiring no DUN so
no number..

Simple isn't it...
