Gurus,

In my little network of Windows VMs running inside VMWare Workstation 6.0, I
can't set any of the machines to an IP of 192.168.1.1. I remember being
able to do this at one time. I want to at least set this IP for my Windows
VM running RRAS so it can act as the default gateway for my other VMs. All
of my virtual machines use host-only networking. In order to isolate the
problem I shut all of them down except for one at a time, and again when I
try to set the IP addresses to 192.168.1.1 an error message pops up and
tells me that IP is already on use on the network. I've tried this on each
of the VMs, isolating them one at a time, and regardless of which machine it
is I cannot set it's IP to 192.168.1.1. I can set the IP to any other IP
address just not 192.168.1.1. DHCP and NAT are not enabled inside the
VMWare virtual network settings. I think the problem is somewhere inside
the VMWare virtual network settings I just don't know where. BTW, none of
the VMs are multi-homed! Thoughts?

What IP address does the host have on its virtual network interface for the
"host-only" network?
