Just finished installing a 16 mile link, actually a 2 hop link which the
first hop is 3 miles and the 2nd being 16 miles.to a small school in
Oklahoma. Had to go 300 feet on an existing tower that we owned using a 24db
yagi and 300 feet of ew20 andrew waveguide. The waveguide was originally for
an itfs antenna had not been used in several years and had over 5 gallons of
water in it due to a bullet hole and no pressurization. Ew20 is major big
and expensive but has less than a half db per hundred loss. The school end
is just about 18 feet off the ground with less than 35 feet of lmr600. Using
Cisco 350's we ended up with an rsl of -65dbm. Actually a bit better than
calculated....

Thought I might share this.

Skeeter,
Excellent work. What protocol are you using. What is the data rate.
