It really only appears like that, Merk. 8-) Put the whole string in, and
you'll note everything is depicted as ***** which doesn't give an actual
count. This is so someone observing over your shoulder doesn't know the
number of characters you're using.
Make sure you update your new laptop from Windows Update, because there are
enhancement items concerning networking.
