If they've supplied you with nameserver details, these are no good.
123-Reg will already be providing this for you. If you change name
servers you'll bugger up your mail forwarding unless you have that
reconfigured at the new place.
What you need from them is the IP address of the server hosting the
website. You should then create an appropriate A record pointing to that
IP address. Then, when a request for that address lands at your current
nameserver, it'll send back that IP.
Don't touch your MX record(s), it's these decide where your mail ends up.
